A spokesperson said, “US Consulate General Hamilton is pleased to announce that eleven U.S. colleges and universities will host EducationUSA Academy participants across the United States in summer 2020.

“The EducationUSA Academy, a pre-college academic enrichment program for international high school students, is an additional effort by the United States to recruit the world’s best and brightest students to pursue a future degree in the United States.

“Through two-to-four-week programs, the EducationUSA Academy prepares 15- to 17-year old students from around the world to submit strong applications to U.S. universities through college preparatory content, academic English courses, campus visits, and cultural enrichment opportunities.

“The Academy creates a new pathway for international high school students who may not otherwise have considered attending university in the United States by providing them with the information and skills necessary to become successful students at U.S. higher education institutions.
