Marquise Washington signs to run track at Mississippi State University

On Thursday, Marquise Washington put pen to paper to continue his academic and track career at Mississippi State University.

Washington was a multi-sport athlete at D’Iberville high school, playing football in addition to being a star on the track. He says he is most excited for the 100 and 4-by-1 races when he arrives to Starkville. Washington also spoke on what he is most looking forward to when he gets to a division one school in the SEC by saying, “I guess a new beginning. I know some people up there and they are really nice – really cool. I am ready for like new people, new interactions with new things, traveling – you know – I think that is what I am most ready for.”
