PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, USA, December 13, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- EW Foundation Legacy and Founders Society benefactors were honored at a special musical wine dinner recently at Table 26 in West Palm Beach. “Books, Barolo & Bel Canto” kicked off the season for the organization in preparation for its signature fundraiser, “Books Bellinis & Bel Canto,” taking place on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Club Colette.

The special evening included a champagne cocktail reception followed by a Mediterranean dinner, as well as interludes of arias performed by classically trained singers, Summer Foley and Juliette Valle. Guests were treated to a trifecta of sweet endings—Vosges Haut-Chocolat exotic chocolate truffles, Patrick Leze lavender French macarons, and a tribute song, Somewhere by Leonard Bernstein.

“Because of your generosity, love for children and our community as a whole, we’ve been able to benefit more than 13,000 children to date with our award-winning books and programs,” said Loretta Neff, Founder and Executive Director for EW Foundation. “With your ongoing support, we will continue to impact the lives of children for the better and provide them with skills that will serve them well for years to come.”

The EW Foundation (EWF) is an educational nonprofit providing award-winning character education books and programs for children and youth, and fundraising opportunities to charities, missions, and schools. According to Neff, EWF believes that every child and young adult should receive a quality education that includes a strong social foundation. Through philanthropy, which plays a meaningful role in the organization, the group hopes to greatly enrich the lives of others with their care, commitment, and resources.

Suzanne Holmes, “Books Bellinis and Bel Canto” chairwoman, also addressed the guests, highlighting her philanthropic impact areas and commitment to EW Foundation. She generously sponsored the private wine dinner and was recognized for her sponsorship as well as her support of the Kids of Character Outreach Program, which gives children in low-income communities access to books and valuable life skills.

“Thank you all for being here tonight as we kick off the important effort to raise awareness and funds for EW Foundation.” said Holmes. “Reading to children has been proven over and over again to increase the likelihood of success for that child, no matter how dire the circumstances of their childhood. I look forward to seeing you all again at ‘Books, Bellinis & Bel Canto’ on February 4.”

The evening’s attendees included Yvonne Boice, Al Zukaro, Connie Frankino, Sue McKenna, Arthur E. Benjamin, Gail Worth, Frank Orenstein, Lois Pope, Brian Wells, Dr. and Mrs. Gregory Albert, Bowie Jacobson, Carol Jaeger, Douglas Jencks, Patti and Sherman Goodrich, Suzi and Rick Goldsmith, Sophia Eccleston and Dr. and Mrs. Gabriel Valle.

In addition to Holmes’ event leadership, Hermé de Wyman Miro will be the “Books, Bellinis & Bel Canto” international honorary chair with Arthur Benjamin and Gail Worth as the honorary chairs.

For the past two years, Holmes has supported the organization’s Kids of Character Outreach Program and brings with her the support of TD Wealth and FPL. Other sponsors include Hermé de Wyman Miro & The International Society of Palm Beach, Palm Beach Society, St. John, Table 26, Breakthru Beverage Group, Provident Jewelry, La Casa Hermosa, Very Important Paws and Flowers of Worth Avenue Palm Beach.
