The North Carolina Tar Heels and Florida Gators get set to meet up on Friday to fight for a spot in the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship Game.
The Tar Heels have been far and away, the best team in women’s lacrosse this season. They have played 20 games so far and have won each and every time. Jenny Levy’s team came into the national tournament after winning the team’s first ACC Championship in three years, claiming both the regular-season and tournament championships.
That 2022 season was the last time UNC made it to the national semifinals, with the program winning its then-third NCAA title. A win on Friday would send North Carolina to the championship game for the sixth time in program history.
