FEMA Center Opens

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — A new Disaster Recovery Center has opened in Daviess County to assist Kentucky residents impacted by April's severe weather events.

Located at the Stanley Fire Department, 159 Highway 1554, Stanley, the center provides support for those affected by storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides, and mudslides.

The center operates Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. Central Time. It offers a range of services, including help applying for FEMA assistance, checking the status of applications, and referrals to other support agencies.

FEMA encourages affected individuals to apply for federal disaster assistance before the June 25 deadline.

Assistance is available in person at the center, online at DisasterAssistance.gov, via the FEMA App, or by calling 800-621-3362. No appointment is necessary for in-person visits.

Applicants need to provide a contact number, addresses, Social Security Number, a damage list, banking information for direct deposit, and insurance details if applicable.
